More on PD pt. 2

The content we are required to teach and the ways in which we can successfully teach our content are always changing.

In our PLC (if we are lucky) we can learn from our peers and they can learn from us. But we are limited to those "local" teachers.  Any school district or department or team over time begins to develop a "bubble" whether they realize it or not.  The bubble is barrier that doesn't prevent new ideas but certainly makes it hard for new ideas to reach the team.

The Web allows teachers to prevent that bubble from forming or at least keeps it more permeable.  It allows teachers who choose to learn to stay current and bring those new ideas into their classroom and their local teams.
